NFL Week at Dive Bar

On Friday 11 September, the Los Angeles Rams & San Francisco 49ers meet at the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the first regular-season NFL game ever played in Australia. Kick-off is 10.35am. We are not about to let a week like that pass quietly.

From Monday 7 to Saturday 12 September, Dive Bar is running a menu built for the occasion: $1 wings every night (not just Friday), the Dive Bar Smash Burger for $25 & four limited-edition cocktails.

In town for the game? Pre-game Thursday, post-game Friday or any night in between: wander in for one & stay until close.

Spicy Buffalo Wings — $1 each
Frank's hot sauce, blue cheese dressing. Order by the basketful.

Drink

South Wharf Seagulls — $22
36 South stirred down with passionfruit syrup & a dash of angostura bitters, served over ice with fresh passionfruit pulp. Short, sharp & liable to steal your chips.

109ers — $22
Gin, green melon & peppermint tea, topped with lemonade & finished with a mint sprig & lemon. Tall, cool & minty. Named after the tram, obviously.

ML Trams — $22
Tequila, pineapple & lime, lengthened with soda & a spoonful of raspberry cordial, served in a balloon glass with pineapple & a cherry. Bright, fizzy & gets you across town.

Docklands Angels — $22
Angel's Envy bourbon, blueberry & lime with a dash of cola, topped with soda over ice & finished with a cherry skewer. Dark, sweet & a little bit heavenly. Halo not included.
